Medicinal properties of jeeraka

According to Bhavprakasha, Sushruta and dhanvantari nighantu.

Dipana , Pachana and Ruchikar it means it is carminative, digestive and taste enhancer properties.

Pawan,adhyamana, gulma,chardi,atisarhar nashaka means (anti-flatulent, anti-vomiting, antidiarrheal property), Sangrahi (absorbent moisture, useful in diarrhoea and malabsorption syndrome), Medhya (brain tonic, improves intelligent), Garbhashaya Vishudhikrita (cleanses and detoxifies uterus), Jwarhar (useful in fever), Vrishya (natural aphrodisiac), Balya (improves strength and immunity), Pittalam means increases Pitta Dosha, Kphapham and Vatahar means (it decreases kaph and Vata), Chakchusya (good for eyes, improve eyes vision) 1. It improves digestion and correct almost all its related disorders flatulence, bloating, gaseous distention of abdomen, Abdominal pain, and for increasing appetite you have to use it in this combination- 4 part of cumin seeds powder, 1 part of dry ginger, 1 part of rock salt are taken in the dose of half spoon just before taking food, along with warm water. For indigestion and constipation –use this medicine after a meal. It is useful in Diarrhoea, dysentery, because of its Sangrahi means absorbent moisture property. in this condition, you have to take 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds powder with half small bowl of curd in the day time. for vomiting - mix half teaspoon of roasted cumin seeds powder in a glass of water. Consume the drink, you will immediately feel better. Because of its digestive property and high fibres contains it can cure constipation very effectively. Take 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder with lukewarm water after meal twice daily.
2. It Boosts memory power by its (Medhya) propertyCumin contains riboflavin, vitamin B6 and niacin- useful in improving the cognitive function of the brain. Take 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds with 1 teaspoon of Mishri or sugar candy chew and then eat it, daily every morning after breakfast Helps to fight with insomnia Cumin oil has a tranquillizing effect –to prepare the tea, take 1 cup water 1 teaspoon cumin seeds boil it strain it and take it lukewarm before bedtime.

4.Good for PCOD, Menopause, tumour or fibroid of uterus. cumin seeds powder is very helpful in correcting hormonal imbalance. Use jeera water-take 1 teaspoon of jeera powder mix it with 1 cup of warm water, consume it twice a day. It reduces blood sugar level and also has antioxidant properties. These antioxidants can remove free radicals from the body.
5. It also Prevents cancer. 6.it is very useful in Anemia 7.Control blood pressure 8.diabetes 9. Lifestyle disorders stress or distress reduce by Ayurved

For a long time, our country is suffering from some of the biggest problems like

Poverty
Hunger
Water
Sanitation
Health
Lack of education
Overpopulation
- These all are inescapable  issues in all developing countries. All problems must be solved by us. At least we have to do some efforts to solve those problems.  Among them, the health problem is also one of the most important issue. 

health problems are becoming more common than ever before in the world today,  When I searched about all kinds of humans health suffering than I find that, the main problem 



Are only three. 1.  lots of distress
2. Depression,
3. decreased immunity,
Because of only these problems we are going through all kinds of Mental and physical health disorders. We have to come out from these disorders as early as possible. Otherwise, that day will not very far from us, when all our society will full of sufferings only. And at that time it is very difficult to fight with those problems so it is better to solve it now. So what's the solution.
The Only solution is to change the lifestyle. To change the lifestyle is the only future for health.  Ayurved is the absolute and ultimate solution to follow the ideal lifestyle. I am going to elaborate 4 most important points in this video about stress and distress.

1. What is this the problem, How stress creates some serious diseases? 2. What are the symptoms of unhealthy stress level and Why does it happens and increasing rapidly. 3. what is Its impact on our society, as well as on our health. 4. 5 most powerful way to get rid of stress.

1. its time to pay some attention to our societies worsen suffering that is distress


1.in 1936 Hans Selye created The first definition of stress. He stated that stress is” the non-specific response of the body to any demand for change".
2. In another word, it is a state of psychological and physiological imbalance resulting from the disparity between situational demand and the individual's ability and motivation to meet those needs.”
Stress is the rate of all wear and tear caused by life.”
Stress can be positive or negative:
Stress is good when the situation offers an opportunity for a person to gain something. It acts as a motivator for peak performance.
Stress is negative when a person faces social, physical, organizational and emotional problems. Then it is called distress and it’s the origin of all kind of disorders.

So stress is not a bed but distress is a bed.
2. a. How stress creates some serious diseases


Stress initiates a release of cortisol, norepinephrine hormone. These are stress hormones And one more hormone called serotonin it is responsible for peace and happiness. When stress becomes chronic it causes an imbalance of these hormones. it can damage neurons in our brain, the result is that loss of short term memory, depression, low immunity, increases blood pressure, heart disease, obesity and diabetes, migraines, infertility etc.

Nearly “75-90% ailments are  stress-related ailments”
 b. What is the signs and symptoms of unhealthy stress levels


.  Repeated headaches
1.Stuttering or Smother or stammer
2.grinding teeth, tremors/shaking
3.frequent sweating
4.Insomnia, nightmares
5.muscle pains
6.Depression, excess anxiety
7.digestive difficulties decreased appetite
8.chest pains
9.reduced work efficiency

- It is not necessary that the person who is suffering from distress should be having all symptoms. He or she may be suffering from 1 or 2, or more than 2 symptoms also.

c. Why does it happen or Why we are going through stress


It has two reasons, one is
1. we are Increasing our activities without enhancing our body and mind capability- why is that so, because of today’s money oriented, competitive, economic mindset, technologically supported gazed etc.- the result is that we are incapable to manage our body and mind well. The result is stress, depression etc.
2.  People’s lifestyle- which is becoming increasingly unhealthy. LIKE wrong practice of daily routines life, Wrong food habits, the wrong type of food, THAT’S Why our Immunity is decreasing.
Not involving in sadachara (morality), sadhvritta (well-behaved), as I already said everything is related to our mind.

We are not giving enough importance to our body and mind. Do not give enough rest to our body and mind, in term of exercise like yoga, asana, meditation and all that.

3. Now, in what extent theses problems are increasing, and making our society as worsen as never before,


Here are some data:-
According to cigma ttk health insurance survey - about 89% of the population in India is suffering from stress, compared to the global average of 86%.  Isn’t it a big percentage, only 11 % of people are remaining who are not suffering from stress, means almost 90 % of the population is suffering from stress.
by 2020 we are forecast to be the youngest country in the world. Unfortunately, India has the highest suicide rate in the world.  According to who  in 2019- the suicide rate of India is 16.3 per 100k and the rank is 21 out of 176 countries,
There is about 1 suicide occurring in every 40 seconds across the globe. What is The reason for that, there is lack of economic, social and emotional resource. More especially academic pressure, workplace stress. One more reason is urbanization and the breakdown of the traditional large family support system.

NCRB national crime records bureau 2015, quoted that in every 1 hour one student commits suicide in India.
Isn't it shameful. Why it is so Because of,  parents and schools can not prepare children mentally and psychologically for the many triggers in the world.
We have to ensure an environment which promotes positive well-being, mental health education and also promote coping skills in youth. 

4.How to get rid of distress
there are 5 very effective ways to deal with distress
.


1. Surya namaskar- it is set of 12 Asana or poses. How to do Surya Namaskar, you can find it on the internet very easily. It has lots of benefits like- it is Anti-anxiety, Anti-depressant and calming effect. Improve memory, enhance the nervous system, delays the signs of ageing, good for skin and hair, enhance blood circulation.
- It also stabilizes the activity of the thyroid and endocrine glands.
-It is a complete exercise involving the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects required for the overall well being of the body.

2. Listen light and favourite music at least 5 to 10 minutes daily- it can calm anxiety and it has lots of benefits also.
3. Shavasana- it is the most important asana in yoga. It means corpse pose. Laying on the back, arm and legs are spread at 45 degrees, the eyes shut and the breath is long and deep- it decreases muscle tension and anxiety level, also decreases heart rate, blood pressure.
4. Regular sun exposure- this is essential for Vit D production, low level of it also caused depression. It enhances mood and energy by releasing endorphins. Do it at least 10 to 15 min.
5. And last but most important Eat well- because what you eat directly impacts your mood and energy level. How to eat, what to eat, I will describe it in detail in my upcoming videos.

these codes of conduct are about how a person should live and what he should do or shouldn't do. It is also called sadachara, it means morality or well behaved, For example, don’t tell lie, don’t hate anybody, don’t get angry, do charity, offer prayers to the god regularly etc. and lot more, around 29 or 30 qualities to obey for a lifetime. We will describe it in details later on.
it is also an integral part of preventive medicine. The origin of this concept is having a healthy mind on which you have good control. 

Following the Achara Rasayana helps to keep our mind in control and tranquil form as I earlier mentioned it.
Happiness doesn't lie in money, success or fame. It lies within, real happiness lies in gratitude. And it will only come when u know who you are, why we are here. , once you know it, that nothing is yours in this universe, even your body does not totally belong to you, it is made out of 23000 human cells in a genome and 2.5 trillion germs in the same cells, and by which we are living is also coming from outside like food, water, air etc, then only this gratitude comes.  Ayurved is not only just medical science but philosophy also, everything comes from our mind.
If we can follow these rules, automatically, we will become the happiest person in the world, because we naturally take birth for happiness. happiness is the natural form of a human being. And These are the natural way of living life because it is originated with the origin of life and it’s a part of life.
If we want to achieve that healthy state then we should follow some small principles of Ayurveda.
